We Are Now Accepting Applications for Our Inaugural ENGL Cohort!
Elevate Omaha is excited to invite young adults aged 16-25 to apply for the Next Generation of Leaders (ENGL) cohort, our exciting new initiative dedicated to empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
In this first cohort, we will select 30 passionate individuals who are ready to develop their leadership skills, build authentic relationships, and become active changemakers in their communities. Young adults are often not taken seriously or recognized as the leaders they are, and Elevate Omaha is committed to changing that narrative. Through ENGL, we equip and hone leadership skills while cultivating authentic relationships and building a supportive, empowering community. Applications are due by August 11 and applicants will be selected and notified by August 25.
Leadership Growth
Engage in monthly meetings focused on a diverse range of impactful topics, such as Nebraska’s legislative sessions, mental health awareness, coalition building, professional development, and finance. These meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month, from September through June, at 6:00-7:30 PM.
Community and Collaboration
Develop strong connections with peers through shared experiences and collective learning, fostering lifelong friendships and collaborations.
Impactful Projects
Participate in one of three key projects, amplifying your voice and skills:
Influence the City of Omaha’s 30-year planning by representing youth perspectives.
Engage in civic initiatives alongside community leaders.
Plan and organize a graduation celebration event.
