Civic Engagement Program Lead Intern

Help young people connect with their community and discover the power of civic leadership.

The Civic Engagement Program Lead Intern coordinates Elevate Omaha's civic engagement experiences within the ENGL cohort. You'll help plan events, build community partnerships, facilitate discussions, and create opportunities for young people to engage with the issues shaping Omaha's future.

If you're passionate about leadership, community building, and helping others turn their ideas into action, this role offers hands-on experience and meaningful impact.

Position Details

  • $20/hour

  • Up to 20 hours per week

  • Hybrid (Omaha/UNO office)

  • One-year internship

YPAR Research & Program Intern

Help turn youth voice into community change.

The YPAR Research & Program Intern leads Elevate Omaha's Youth Participatory Action Research efforts. You'll work alongside young people to identify community challenges, conduct research, analyze findings, and transform ideas into action.

From facilitating focus groups and surveys to sharing research with community partners, you'll help ensure young people's perspectives help shape programs, advocacy efforts, and solutions that matter.

Position Details

  • $20/hour

  • Up to 20 hours per week

  • Hybrid (Omaha/UNO office)

  • One-year internship

Executive Director

Lead the next chapter of youth leadership in Omaha.

Elevate Omaha is seeking an Executive Director to guide the organization's growth, strengthen community partnerships, support fundraising efforts, and expand opportunities for young people across the city.

This is an opportunity to build on a strong foundation while helping shape the future of youth leadership, civic engagement, and participatory research in Omaha. The Executive Director will work closely with staff, interns, community partners, and the Board of Directors to advance Elevate Omaha's mission and vision.

Position Details

  • $80,000 annual salary

  • Full-time

  • In-person (Omaha/UNO office) with some evenings and weekends required for programs, events, and meetings.
