Katera Brown (they/she)
Katera is a student at Metropolitan Community College, pursuing her associates degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Psychology. Her work focuses on project planning, design, arts, community engagement, and qualitative data collection. She specializes in engaging unique populations in Omaha, like young adults, individuals and families experiencing homelessness and the LGBTQ+ population. Her work within local nonprofits has allowed Katera to analyze and create systems that are inclusive, accessible and trauma-informed, and she can’t wait to bring her expertise to the Elevate Omaha board.
